Located within Tuvalu’s Climate Change and Policy Unit, and accountable to the Project Board, TCAP’s Project Management Unit is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities of the project, including overall operational and financial management, and liaising with stakeholders.

NATIONAL PROJECT MANAGER
 

Mr Alan Puga Resture

Alan has 25 years of experience working with coastal communities in the Pacific region on climate change, vulnerability and adaptation assessments, fisheries and marine resources, environmental, socio-economic and policy issues. He has done consultancies with the Government of Tuvalu, USP, IISD, GEF, World Bank, JICA, Cardno, UNEP and UNDP. He is now the National Project Manager, and is responsible for overseeing the overall daily operation of the project.

Director of the Department of Climate Change and Disaster

 

Ms Pepetua Latasi

Ms. Pepetua E Latasi is the Director of the Department of Climate Change and Disaster, Government of Tuvalu, and is responsible for overall coordination of climate change and disaster-related matters at the national, regional and international level.  

She played a key role in developing Tuvalu’s National Adaptation Programme of Action - and in supporting the implementation of priority actions through the NAPA 1 and NAPA 2 projects - and was involved in the preparation of the project proposal for the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project.  

Ms Latasi is the designated National Focal Point for the UNFCCC.
